Originally created for Luminous’ debut in his hometown of Juneau, Alaska, this crowd-favorite quickly became his signature act. A manly man of the north, Luminous goes fishing and catches more than he bargained for. An exciting comedy set to classic bump n’ grind music, The Greatest Catch, is about finding ones true self, even if it takes a little catch and release.
Fierce
Luminous’ most famous costume is noisy and spectacular. As a gender-bent dance ingénue, Lumi tears up the stage in an up beat dance song that always gets people bouncing in their chairs. Inspired by the Great Pacific Garbage patch: a floating island of plastic twice the size of Texas. A tribute to Credit, Debit and all things plastic, “Fierce” is costumed entirely of recycled polyethylene!
Bird of Paradise
Featuring another of Luminous’ hand sculpted masks; this comedic piece draws parallels between the humid jungles of New Guinea and sweaty urban dance floors of the concrete jungle. The Magnificent Bird of Paradise exhibits his spectacular plumage and intricate choreography to attract a mate. Will he succeed?
Carapace
From the most powerful chemical corporation in the world; creators of Aspartame and Agent Orange; Monsanto Laboratories brings you their latest creation: the Luminous Pariah. This high-fructose satire will either make you splice your genes laughing, or give you a GMO; a genetically modified orgasm.
Luminous Ludo
A prehistoric orangutan-looking creature, strange yet extremely endearing; Ludo is a simple animal. He needs food, water, shelter, and a sometimes a little love. A crowd favorite, “Luminous Ludo” is a hilarious snapshot of natural curiosity in the animal kingdom.
White Power
Hate is something that is taught, it is not natural.
However, fear and ignorance combined spawn anger and venom.
Children are ending their lives because of the lack of compassion that they are shown by their peers.
Who taught our children to hate?
The Ku Klux Klan is a wonderful hooded historical example of hate in action.
“White Power” is a powerful and moving piece that explores the challenging subject of bullying and hate crimes.

The Weird Sisters
Originally created for a burlesque version of Macbeth; this is a trio piece with the bombshell-boy-twins of the boylesque world; Paris Original and Trojan Original . The three sculpted movers of Mod Carousel take turns balancing each other in precarious, sensual, positions while removing… whatever is in the way of casting their spell.
